6,000 animals in their native habitats. Originally established in 1838, the
zoo has many activities to offer children and adults alike. The Artis Zoo also
houses a Planetarium, an Aquarium, and a Geological and Zoological Museum. The
Children's Farm section allows for petting of sheep, goats, cows, and chickens.

older children. The museum has designated a special area for younger children,

television and become film stars during their visit.

theater has two separate arenas for the age group above twelve and the one below
