The 'County Hotel' has been family run for over 40 years and today still retains that family welcome and atmosphere. Famous for its traditional Scottish Battered Haddock served along side the extensive Breakfast, Special Lunch Menu and A la Carte Menu. The hotel has been recently refurbished to provide our guests with the best facilities and 32 stylish en suite bedrooms.
The County Hotel is an ideal base for many of the tourist attractions in the area. We are located close to Rosslyn Chapel, craigmillar castle and the many other castles in Midlothian. The hotel is also placed directly on route to the Scottish borders, twenty minutes from Edinburgh Airport. There is much to see and do around Dalkeith: The Butterfly Farm & Dalkeith Country Park are just two of the local attractions. Leisure and sporting interests are also catered for in the Newbattle and Broomieknowe golf courses. We are only fifteen minutes from Musselburgh racecourse. From Edinburgh City Center Depart on Princes Street then turn left onto A7 North Bridge for 1.1 miles. Turn left onto A7 East Preston Street ad proceed for 0.2 miles. Turn Right onto A7 Dakeith Road for 0.9 miles. At the roundabout, take second exit onto A7 and proceed for 3.5 miles. At roundabout take third exit onto A68 old Dalkeith Road for 1.1 miles. Turn left onto A6094 High Street and proceed for 0.1 miles. |
