I stayed at Tradewinds Esplanade during my honeymoon in Sep 2002. I got a corner room with balcony overlooking the sea and side window overlooking a chapel, the room is spacious and well-kept. The hotel is very safe, clean and quiet. The staffs are courteous and professional. There're several restaurants in the hotel but I have only visited the restaurant which serves sumptuous breakfast buffet and freshly brewed coffee everyday. There's also a tour desk at the hotel lobby where information for tours can be found, we have booked several day tours there. The location of the hotel is great as the main Cairns shopping area is all within 10 mins walking distance. We did not travel anywhere else for our daily necessities during our stay there. The hotel is definitely value for money and highly recommended.
