Pacific International Hotel is very near the train station but is rather far from Darling Harbour area. Darling Harbour area is where Sydney Opera House, The Rocks and Sydney Bridge can be found. Everyday I will walk around 20 mins from the hotel to Darling Harbour for shopping and food. However the distance doesn't really matters because along the way I can find many fast food joints, shops, cinemas, Queens Victoria Building and Pitt Street Mall. It just bothers me abit when I need to walk back to the hotel from Darling Harbour every day because I am so tired. :) The hotel has a small restaurant which doesn't seem to open for breakfast and on other hours I can only see a few customers. The hotel room is very small and rather dim, it gives a dirty feeling. The room also does not smell fresh. The TV reception was bad. Given the price and also my sole purpose is a place to sleep, I wasn't complaining but I will stay somewhere else which is nearer to Darling Harbour next time.
