The hotel is quite far from the city centre.. 25 mins on bus. The area is too quiet and seems like a dead town after 6, hence it's not safe to explore the area after that. The room has great decor and basic. If you don't mind to be back in the hotel early or spending on cab it's fine but I would stay at the central if I visit Amster again.
