A good value hotel for a few reasons, firstly, it is close to the city center and provides easy access to other part of Bangkok. Secondly, hotel has quite a few amenities (swimming pool and gym ) that you could use. Thirdly, the rates are reasonable and not expensive at all.

Asia Hotel is about half hour taxi ride from Bangkok International Airport, and is centrally located near many major shopping centres like Mah Boon Krong (MBK), Siam Square, Baiyoke Sky Hotel (Retailer Market) etc. It only takes an average walk of 15 minutes from the hotel to these places.

As the hotel is directly connected to the sky train station, it is very convenient to travel to major tourist attractions/ shopping areas like Pat Porng, Suan Lum Night Bazaar, and Chatuchak. Taxi and Tuk Tuk drivers are always waiting outside the hotel waiting to bring you to any place you wish to go.

Breakfast is not provided, but there're restaurants and small cafe at the hotel, and if you don't mind roadside food, there're also some small restaurants and roadside stalls along the main road outside the hotel.

The room was cleaner than we expected, and though cannot be compared with 4 or 5 star hotels due to its much affordable rate, it has all the basic facilities we need. Money changer, traditional Thai massage, souvenir shops are also available in the hotel. You may also catch the famous transvestite cabaret show at the hotel itself. And if you wish to travel out of Bangkok, there's a small counter at the Lobby (which I think only open in the evening), where you can register with various day tours to bring you to floating market, rose garden etc. Or you can negotiate with the taxi driver outside the hotel to bring you to these places at a cheaper rate instead.

The stay at the hotel has been a pleasant one and I will definitely consider staying in this hotel again if I visit Bangkok next time.
