The Royal Cambridge Hotel is an elegant 3 Star hotel located on the edge of Cambridge city centre - within easy walking distance of the famous colleges - making it the perfect base from which to experience the atmosphere and character of this celebrated University centre. This Georgian building - full of atmosphere - is one of the oldest hotels in Cambridge and was once part of Addenbrookes Hospital. Today it offers comfortable - upmarket accommodation and facilities. Each of the 57 bedrooms is tastefully decorated and furnished in keeping with the heritage and style of the hotel - they are well-appointed with all the facilities discerning guests require. The hotel also offers 6 meeting rooms catering for between 2 and 140 delegates.The High Table restaurant offers menus which reflect the seasonal fresh produce sourced from the surrounding market gardens as well as exotic ingredients from around the world - The friendly and personal service complements both the food and the extensive and imaginative wine list. The Kings Bar serves a mouth-watering selection of light meals and snacks and the extensive and comfortable lounge areas are the ideal place to relax and unwind or meet up with friends.Being the first city centre hotel on route from the M11 - The Royal Cambridge Hotel is also ideal for trips to London and touring East Anglia and we are pleased to offer our guests complimentary car parking.From 1st July all Forestdale Hotels - including the bedrooms - will become completely no smoking when the Smokefree England legislation comes into force.
