Located amidst the Great Barrier Reef and surrounded by 1,300 hectares of pristine national park, Orpheus is a nature lovers paradise. Strictly limited to 42 guests and with the exclusion of telephones, televisions, day-trippers or children under 15, Orpheus provides the ultimate hideaway.
The waters off the island are home to a vast array of vibrant, coloured marine life and showcase 1100 species of fish, and 340 of the 350 known species of reef coral.
Accessible by seaplane this is a place where the magnificence of an unspoilt island and its fringing reefs are a mere backdrop to an experience in tropical food, wine and privacy like no other.
The accommodation is sophisticated and all just a stones throw from the waters edge and only a short stroll from the multi award winning restaurant.
Your palate will be pleased to discover that Orpheus is as famous for its fine gourmet cuisine as it is for its soft corals. The chef prepares a new exotic menu daily which is guaranteed to tantalise your taste buds. Not to be missed is 'Dining with the Tides', a private table set up for dining under the stars on the jetty.
