Located 10 minutes north of Queenstown in 10 acres of natural bush land. The lodge enjoys undisturbed views of the mountain ragne and is situated on Lake Wakatipu with a short stroll to the lakes edge.

At the second round about -rotary- turn left onto Shotover Street, and continue onto Lake Esplanade then follow the signage heading north towards Glenorchy. Follow that road along the lakes edge -keeping the lake on your left- for 4.5 miles. Look for the sign Welcome to Closeburn - we are 150 metres beyond this sign. Look on the left hand side of the road for a side road sign-posted in yellow Matakauri Lodge.
