Located in Sir Leslie Thiess Drive which runs off the Eastern end of Townsville's award winning beachfront 'The Strand'. Townsville is situated on the North Queensland coast on the eastern seaboard of Australia. Townsville is built around Cleveland bay, adjacent to the Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea. Magnetic Island (a Suburb of Townsville) is only 10km north by ferry. Jupiters Townsville Hotel and Casino is located directly on Cleveland Bay, and next to Townsville Mariner, which is 1km from the city center. The dominating geographical feature of Townsville is Castle hill, which can be seen when entering the city by air, road pr water. The Strand/beach, City Center, Mariner and the Townsville Shopping Mall are all located around Castle Hill, and Jupiters Townsville is 1km from the base of the Hill.
