The striking facade of Hotel Imperiale stands out along Via Veneto, centrally located in Rome and just a few short minutesâÃÂàwalk to some of the eternal cityâÃÂÃÂs principal and world-famous attractions such as the Piazza Barberini, Piazza di Spagna and Fontana di Trevi. Via Vittorio Veneto *or Via Veneto to give it its more famous appellation* was opened in 1889 looking for *high class hotels*. Via Veneto had become by the late 1950s, a hot-spot and regular hangout of many of the big names and stars of that era, many of whom on a good night could be found occupying its strip of bars and restaurants.
