The Governors Inn is a 41-room boutique hotel prominently located one block from Florida's Capitol Building and Complex on Tallahassee's famous Adams Street Commons. Its much to be envied location places the hotel in the midst of legislative activities, fine restaurants, football gatherings and downtown's many events such as Springtime Tallahassee and Saturday Market Days. The Governors Inn is also within walking distance to Florida State University and a short drive from FAMU and Tallahassee Community College, making it the ideal home-base for graduation, orientation and university activities. The State Supreme Court, Museum of Florida History, Challenger Center and much more are all just a short walk away. Guests to the recently refurbished Inn enjoy a complete array of services and amenities, some customary, others pleasantly out of the ordinary?.European Turndown Service, Complimentary Breakfast & Cocktails, Free Daily Newspapers, Complimentary Valet Parking, wifi and Business Services, Pillowtop Bedding, Flat Screen Televisions, and much more. Opened in 1983 in what was originally a stable, the interiors feature the original exposed stable beams, giving this recently renovated first class establishment a taste of the past. Opening onto our lamp and sky lit hallways are 41 rooms and suites, each named for a Governor from Florida's past. From the two-room spacious Spessard Holland Suite, ideal for the perfect wedding night, to the loft bedrooms overlooking a private wood-burning fireplace, you can find the right room to make your visit memorable. Each room is uniquely decorated featuring antique four- poster beds, English pub table writing desks and armoires. The complimentary breakfast and cocktail hour gives guests the opportunity to meet and network with people throughout Florida and the world. The Governors Inn's greatest amenity ist its dedicated and hospitable staff, continually exhibiting an outstanding effort to accommodate all guest needs. Our Guest Opinion Surveys are full of compliments concerning the warmth and obliging nature of our staff. From business meetings to bridal luncheons, our intimate meeting rooms provide the perfect setting for gatherings. Seasonal and weekend packages traditionally include a room, dinner coupon for great local restaurants, and champagne in addition to the hotel's normal amenities. Upgrading to a suite can easily be added to the package as well as limousine service to local events.
