Singapore is a small island found in the heart of Southeast Asia. It is a city-state, which basically means the city is the country. It is made up of one main island (Singapore) and around 60 other smaller ones. Some of these islands are retreats which are popular among many local and foreign visitors (such as like Sentosa, Pulau Ubin and Kusu Island).
Singapore has a total landmass of only around 600 square kilometers. It's main island measures just over 42 kilometers from east to west and 23 kilometers north to south. This island has the shape like a diamond and does not share land border with any other countries in the world. The only physical connection its has to any land body is just a causeway link to Malaysia’s Johor states via the Strait of Johor.
This country has a population size of around 4 million people, most of which lives on the main island.
