Diving Guide > Indonesia Scuba Diving Guide
Indonesia is an archipelago consists of more than sixteen thousand islands,
half of these islands, interestingly are unnamed. These islands span across
more than three thousand miles and 46 degrees of longitude only about a
thousand of these them are inhabited. Indonesia has 10 to 15 percent of the
world reefs. Many are still waiting to be explored.
Diving condition in Indonesia is both vast and varied. Indonesia has warm
waters, cold waters, still waters, raging currents, muck diving, coral cays,
fringing reefs, sheltered bays and rocky coasts. This list is, of cause,
incomplete.
In general, as you move eastward through the Indonesia archipelago, the more
remote it will get and diving gets better.
